I have a new 19" lcd tv with dvi input and vga so I hooked it up to my A8JM but lcd tv says no signal when I plug it in? Is there something in settings I have to configure ? I also tried on my desktop pc and same.

Yes, you need to set the notebook so it transmits a signal from the notebook to the TV. There is usually an Fn key dedicated to do this. On my notebook it is Fn + F4, but it may be different on yours. You may also need to enable the port through the control panel of the graphics card.

On the A8Jm it's the icon with the two screens on it, Fn+F6 I believe. It's the one to the right of the LCD on/off button.

Have you checked in the Desktop Properties (right click on desktop > Properties), under the settings tab, if the second LCD is enabled? If not, right click and select enable.

When I attach an LCD, if the lcd is off when the computer starts windows, or wasn't enabled last time you booted, that lcd stays disabled by default.
