I just have bought laptop Asus U6Vc for a few days ago, however, don't know why the battery hasn't been charged properly, even though my adapter is fine, (the laptop can run without battery)... maybe the problem is from battery itself, please anybody tell me how to deal with that........ :(

Can you please elaborate on the symptoms? Does the battery refuse charge, or the battery life is extremely short?

meaning for the first use, the battery was 43%, I kept charging it for long time, the AC was on and it had power light when I plugged in, however the battery said "43%, charging" but after for long time, it was still remain unchanged.

Was this a new purchase, or used?

New batteries are under 12 month Asus warranty, and could be discussed with your reseller or with Asus - if your U6 was bought used, it's possible the battery is bad and would need to be replaced. Sometimes the charging circuit on the motherboard can be bad too, but that would be something you'd have to send in to Asus for testing and repair.

You could also try a battery calibration, which can be found in BIOS during bootup (hold F8 to access) and see whether that makes any difference.

You have U6Vc-A1 or A2? A1 has two batteires the 3 cell and 6 cell, if 3 cell works fine then it's your 6 cell battery is bad, just send it in and exchange for a new one.

U6Vc-A2 only comes with 6 cell battery, most likely it's a bad battery.

Most new Asus laptops does not have battery calibration feature in the BIOS, most likely both of your 3 cell and 6 cell batteries are has bad cells.

Time to get on the phone with Asus and discuss rma or battery exchange, then.
