Hi, I've just bought a new ASUS from newegg, and it includes a large amount of bloatware. Most of the things I've read online suggest that the solution to this is to do a re-installation of Win7.

Problem is, all the guides I find online for reinstalling say to insert a windows7 disc in order to perform this, and no disc came with my purchase. Anybody here know what I can do about this?

    Thanks

p.s. here's the computer I bought if it's of any importance.
    Newegg.com - ASUS K52 Series K52JC-XN1 Notebook w/ NVIDIA Optimus Intel Core i5 460M(2.53GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 310M + Intel HD

Hey, I'm back after attempting a reinstall of Windows using the "LEGAL Windows 7 Download Links (Just like Vista before!)" guide, and I've had mixed results it seems.

I made the ISO, using this website, as suggested. Legal Windows 7 Download Guide - codesagar.com

Then I looked around the internet to try to figure out exactly how to use the ISO to do the reformatting/reinstalling business, since I've never done any of this before. I decided to follow instructions on this site. Installing and reinstalling Windows 7

I'm not sure I did it right. What I did was Control Panel->Recovery->Advanced Recovery Methods->Reinstall Windows. This prompted me to then reboot the computer, and I just went through a couple of "next" and "yes" buttons, saying to reinstall and insert my cd, and then it just went and set up a new Windows7 with none of the bloatware showing anywhere.

Anyways, TL;DR - Now that it's done reinstalling, my computer can no longer connect to the internet. In device manager, it seems that some of my drivers are no longer installed/working properly. I don't know how to get these drivers working again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I'm also concerned whether I actually got the thing to reformat, or if it just partitioned it. It never actually said anything about reformatting when I went through the reinstalling process. When I boot up the computer, it asks me to choose between two different Windows 7s.

Really sorry if this is confusing. Thanks a lot to anybody who's willing to provide any advice.

If you have two versions of Windows installed -s omething's messed up. The correct way to install would be to just boot from the Windows installation DVD and use the setup wizard. It allows you to format/repartition your drives as needed.
