Release dates are historically unreliable as Asus has a tendency to miss their announced dates. Pricing for updates to existing models generally stays at or very near the previous pricing.

There were a couple of expected updates in a post by David on page 1 (the one with the 56K warning), but all info on release dates is going to be available to retailers only at this point. Again, if you look at history, Asus generally releases model updates from April/May through June/July. Then the next big platform revision will be with mobile Nehalem in the 4th quarter.

The age-old question of when to buy....... As has been recommended both to me in the past and has been passed along to others here by myself and other members:

Buy both when you have the funds to do so, and also when you have the need (or strong desire) for a new notebook. There is always something new coming in the next 4-6 months regardless of when you buy, so timing is irrelevant - waiting accomplishes nothing if you aren't able or willing to for other reasons.
