    Generally, I stay away from ATK updates from Windows update... if they appear on the Asus site, however, I'll use it.

    ATK is the name for Asus' ACPI driver... basically you need it to control specific functions (i.e. special buttons on your laptop.. like the Fn + __ shortcuts) and sleep/standby properly.

    I got the same driver somewhere from official ASUS site, so it's safe to update.

    Some new features I discovered with this atkacpi.sys:

    Fn + Left = Previous (multimedia keyboard);
    Fn + Up = Stop (multimedia keyboard);
    Fn + Right = Next (multimedia keyboard);
    Fn + Down = Play\Pause (multimedia keyboard).
