First of all, explain what methods you've tried and failed?
1. GPUZ?
2. NiBiTor? -
hi there, ive used GPUZ to pull the stock bios out and saved as a .bin file (ive read to do .rom but it wont allow me to, keeps its as bin even if i rename it) then imported it into nbitor which it does successfully using the bin file but the all the clock speeds are dramatically off 22k+. So not really sure where to go from here....i dont want to go the software route....i use to have the older g50 with 9800m and had no issues.

Have you tried in DOS?
"nvflash -b OLDBIOS.ROM" -
i have not.....that will pull the stock bios off onto flash?
-
Yup, you got it...
EDIT: in case case you need further assistants, here is the guide on how to flash your VGA BIOS

He has no problems extracting the BIOS. He has already done so in GPU-Z so it is unnecessary to do extract a second copy in nvFlash. What he means is that he is unable to get NiBiTor to correctly read the values on his GPU BIOS. steadfast9661. odd, i get the same whacky numbers as i did with the other method.....Core 3d 21860 mhz, shader 767, memory 301.....ideas?
-
read Sov's post and change the ID to 9800M GTX.
-
yeah, i selected one of the 9800ms and then rescanned....it but the #'s alltho much lower look weird.... shader 1250? can someone provide me with their default bios

Yes, that is correct. Your factory clocks should be 500/1250/800 @ 0.95v.
-
ok, when i save it using the unknown device name and reopen it, its back to wonkey #'s...clearly im doing something wrong here....does it need to be opend and edited using 9800GTX and then saved and loaded? Also, how do you know which 9800gtx to use, is there a dif?
-
ah ok, so it just screws with the numbers bc it doenst know what type of a card it is, what are safe OC #s at this point? gpu/memory?

Yes, you need to save the BIOS with the original ID. Whenever you reload the BIOS on NiBiTor, it will always show up funny, so you will need to repeat the process each time you open your BIOS.
You can use this as a starting point beginning with post #1037. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=401345&page=104 -
ya, i nailed it- thanks! as a side note even with cpu oc at 2.5 the video card is clearly more powerful than the CPU and wanting more power to push it.
