I don't see how there could have been two sides to that argument.

Windows 7 eats Vista for breakfast, then has XP for lunch and OSX for dinner.

Am I the only one that likes vista over xp? I mean at first it was glitchy but now it works well and I like the interface more, especially auto install of usb devices.

I went to best buy today and looked at the G51. I was totally ready to buy it but the model they had on the floor didn't have a backlit keyboard and when I asked about it, they told me it didn't have one. Am I just seeing things?!

You should probably trust the G51 spec sheet over a random Best Buy employee's word.

Can someone please tell me if it is possible to upgrade the Best Buy warranty to the standard ASUS 2 (or 3?) year GLOBAL warranty?

Any comments about this are greatly appreciated! :)

    Nope.

I bought the ADH warranty; it's a computer, you ought to be able to fix whatever is wrong with it unless something gets cracked (like the motherboard).

I did, however, get approved for an RMA from Asus because of my headphone jack, and my G51 was from BB.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm only worried about this as I'm from Australia and would be importing the laptop from the US.

I'm quite interested in the laptop, but the overheating issues I keep reading about make me worried if there is no warranty when I bring it back to Australia :(
