    hello there
    a42jy user here

    1.yesterday i update my bios to latest version via windows 7

    2.when i restart,its ok..

    3.but when second restart....my computer only appear blank screen..no asus logo ....but my power button led is on...when i press it,my computer off...

    how to reset my notebook.....thanks.. :confused:

    Did this happen before you updated the BIOS?

    It seems to me that the bios was not flashed correctly. There is always higher risks if you flash bios from within the Windows.
    One should always use the Easy Flash.

    If you don't see anything on the screen, most probably the bios got corrupted. :(
    I had such an issue a while ago on an older ASUS notebook. I was not able to do anything except for doing an RMA. My machine was under warranty and ASUS replaced the mainboard because the bios is soldered onto mainboard.
    If you send it for RMA, it would be wise not to tell them that the machine died due to bad flash, because flashing bios is usually not covered with warranty. :rolleyes:
