    notebook won't power on after usb mishap

    this morning my asus f8p notebook was working perfectly until i plugged in my logitech usb headset. the notebook turned off immediately. it didn't even power down, it just died and now it won't turn on. none of the lights are on and nothing happens when i hit the power button... please help

    unplug and pull the battery then plug in and power on. if it works replace battery. if it doesnt work go into the bios. and reset to manufactures settings on last page.

    If what Reaper05 recommended to you doesn't work, the only recourse I can think of is to send it in for repairs.

    you have to hold the power button down for 10 seconds or so, before you re-fit the battery.
