    Hi,

I was fortunate that I had two full days of free time. I spent all of my available time researching for my prospective laptop that is excellent and meets my specifications. I spent so much of my time cruising over the internet and researching everything on all laptops available on the market. I eventually talked to some people including IT professionals who work with my mother's business and people who work in the sound field. I want my laptop to last up to 5 years without any breakdown. That means it should be high quality. I do want to buy a laptop from a very reputable manufacturer who is innovative, excellent in engineering & design and paying attention to details. I don't want to do business with any company who cares too much about high profit and ignore quality of products. I did research on everything and narrowed down to Asus and IBM Thinkpad. After more research on these products, I felt that Asus is a better fit for my needs. I wanted a laptop that is custom built to my flavor and come out empty (without preinstalled programs/software). I want to build software/programs from the scratch. So, Asus is the perfect choice. After numerous recommendations, I decided on Asus Z70v. I feel that it is really a perfect laptop for my flavor.

I just ordered Asus Z70v plus Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS notebook sound card. Now, I am waiting for the laptop to arrive. It is supposed to come here next week. I am getting excited and can't wait to test the laptop. I promise that I will give a VERY extensive and detailed review on this laptop when I receive this product and how well it works with sounds, compiles programming codes, graphics, battery life and more. I will try to cover everything, and make everything very detailed. I can't wait for the laptop to arrive my place... features for my future laptop are found below..

    ASUS Z70v ... 15.4" WSXGA TFT Display ... Intel Centrino Pentium M 1.6 GHz 533 FSB ... 1GB DDR2-4200 (2x 512 MB) RAM ... Hitachi 80GB 5400RPM ... ATI X600 48MB ... DVD/CD-RW combo ... Intel 2915 a/b/g wireless card

    haha isn't it a 128 not a 64? (I know dell states it as a 128, since it has 64 dedicated, + a minimum of 64mb shared)

Well you can't go there, even though Dell does.... I know Asus is pushing hypermemory and saying it's 128mb card.... but it's got to be seperated into dedicated and shared....... But since most people just look in the device manager and notice how much memory is there for the video.... I guess they can't claim they were mislead......

    Thanks,
    Justin
