    Hello,

I just bought a notebook asus X5QS. But the numeric keypad on the right of my keyboard (from laptop) won't work good. When i type for example a "1" i get an "&", when i type a "2" i get an "é" (like the symbols of the numeric keypad on the top of your keyboard) . When i turn on my caps lock, then it works.

i mailed the asus helpdesk and they said to install this updates but it didn't change a bit!

Is there a 'numberpad' button you can press?

Called with helpdesk Asus. Apparently it's normal that there isn't a num lock button on this model. They say you always have to use shift to get numbers with the separate num keypad. What a crap and fail from Asus. Never seen before that you have to use shift for the separate num keypad.

That it truly hard to believe... I was going to suggest a windows reinstall but obviously that would not help. Thanks for warning others about this 'revolutionary' feature from ASUS..

I have the same model and the same problem. Another problem is that I can't get the external subwoofer to work. Does it work on your notebook, jonasdes? I don't mind the external subwoofer as much as the keypad-issue though.. I wish they could make a fix for it..
