    HI guys

I wanted to update the driver for my G1 video card (nvidia geforce go 7700). I searched on the nvidia site and did not find a driver that supported this card. The current version thta I have is 6.14 (dated 7/20/2006). Is there a driver newer then this or am I in good shape with this one? BTW, I am running on XP media center edition not Vista.

    Thanks a lot

    Try http://www.laptopvideo2go.com

There you can download drivers and inf files, which you put into the driver installation folder and then the setup recognizes you video card. I currently use 97.92 driver and it works very well in Windows XP.

So the procedure you should do is:

    1. Download the driver file you like to use from laptopvideo2go site
    2. Download the right inf file for the driver from the same site
    3. Unpack the driver and replace the old inf file in the setup folder with the file you just downloaded
    4. Start setup.exe and the driver should install just fine. You should remove the old driver before installing the new one though.

Another (and easier) option is to download Xtreme G mobileforce drivers. They include the modified inf file and you only need to install them. You can download the 97.92 version from here http://www.tweaksrus.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=163&Itemid=41/

I second the option for the XG drivers, specifically the drivers based on the 94.20 version, its been said to give the best performance at this point in time :), just check their forums if u want 2.
