I read that the w3j's x1600 is underclocked at the factory.

Without knowing that the omega drivers speed up the x1600, I installed it, which probably creates much more heat than it needs.

How can I bring it back to factory clock settings?

Omegas are tweaked drivers, so yes.. they raise the clocks up a bit. And I believe that 470 is the stock speed for both.

My omega driver's (latest version) GPU and Mem speed are both set at 445 by default, i doubt if they really raise the clock.....

Yes, since I'm the one who said they're unclocked and that the omega drivers technically would overclock the gpu..... I could answer this for you.

ATI has reference specs that drivers should be designed around.... those stock specs are for the gpu and have no regard for the setup. For example, the W3 is a tiny little system and Asus' drivers are tweaked so that you get a good mix of performance from that card, but battery life and heat are within a set range they want for that notebook. So to do that, the gpu is unclocked from where "stock" could be. Omega drivers are going to run at that "stock" speed which is one reason 3d mark numbers are going to change so much on laptops when using them even in their stock form. You can alway easily overclock the gpu with the omega drivers, but I wouldn't suggest that. In their stock form they'll unleash your gpu to what it should be. However, you have to know that you'll deal with more heat and less battery life to get those numbers....... There however is no danger involved per se. It's unclocked from the factory just for convenience sake and not because it has to be like that. Most W3 owners are going to be more concerned with heat and battery life as they won't game most of the time......

I haven't checked out the absolute latest version, so I'm not 100% positive in this case it will be the same, but the omega drivers in their stock form will unleash a lot more out of that card than stock and you could also unclock from there if you would like to tweak it the other way.
