    does anyone what the difference between the hybrid and the extreme power 4 gear applications are? and if the hybrid one will work on a m50sv?

    why even use P4G? a lot of people say it's useless... and it only takes up RAM space and CPU power.

    well the throttling features are nice and if i forget to switch to high performance mode i can use the buttons on the laptop in game (some don't like alt tab), plus i took the plunge and installed hybrid. finally, an option to turn off aero on battery, so i don't need vista battery saver

    works for me. too bad the battery saving mode isn't customizable (i would really prefer 32 bit color depth instead of 16, i don't think that makes a lot of a difference to battery life)

    one reason to use it is, overclocking will not work in direct console without it
