Hi guys, I recently bought an ASUS n73sm-tz126v 17". It's a great laptop but for some reason, I can't make the function keys work i.e fn+volume up/down nothing happen.
I also read that the track pad was multi touch but it doesn't work on mine and I can't even scroll from the pad.
Any help would be much appreciated

    cheers

For the hotkeys, you probably have some corruption in your ATK package. Download the latest version form Asus' support site, uninstall your current one and install the one you downloaded.

For the trackpad, download the latest driver and check that multi tough gestures are enabled in the driver settings.

Before i forget, i gotta ask if you did a clean install.

arnopa, I would look into returning your unit, everything should work when it is new.
Tijo I apologize, I did not intend to second guess you, I just see so many people with out of box issues and often wonder what happend to quality control.

I made my suggestions assuming a clean install, it is possible the unit is faulty if you are using out of the box. It is still possible it is just a corrupt install of some drivers, but you'll want to thoroughly test the unit if you're thinking about keeping it. If it is still within the return period for where you bought, i'd exchange it.
