Try updating to the latest driver. I ran mark06 with the stock drivers that came with the notebook and got ~3500, then when I updated the drivers, I got ~4000

make sure you are not in "battery saving" mode.. made that mistake 30min ago and got a score of about 2000.. now i turned to "high performance" and got 4800. and make sure you are connected to the ac adapter and your battery is above 90%.

Try using 163.44. 165.01 are older drivers even though they are listed on top of the list.

um make sure your battery is on full when doing this. if it is <90% and charging your CPU is throttled back to 1.2GHz

I ran into this problem after being an idiot and using driver cleaner improperly ( i think i uninstalled my nforce driver or something) and after that my score went from 3900 to 1800. I had to reinstall Vista and everything is okay now, except I'm only getting 3790 but that may be due to switching to the 163.69 drivers.

try taking your battery out totally and just run from AC power. Sounds like the power bug to me.

If that fails and you do the full reinstal thing and it still happens, sounds like you need to rma the notebook due to a defect.

my microsoft is the same as the normal users ..4.8
everything scored like wat they should be..so i was wondering is it because of the drivers...or my bios, which i checked is version 202/the old one...
