    i have a rare problem, when I conect my laptop to external power the cd/dvd drive suddenly dissapear, when i disconect it, then i can see them again, need help plz!1

    Try performing a system restore or clean install of your OS to rule out any possible software related issues that may be causing this. If that doesn't solve it, then contact Asus for an optical drive replacement.

    i installed magicISO to make a virtual drive, but its weird because it disspaerd too when i plug ti external power, but i reinstall it, and now work perfect, but my dvd drive still dissapear

    now i noticed that i can enable the dvd driveif i go to device manager, but i need to do that everytime! when i put the cable =/

    problem solved, went to power options - power4gear hybrid tn the option odd was disabled, just put a tick and now works perfectly
