ok 1st of all i love my asus ul80vt, it is really worth the upgrade from my eee pc 1000h.

beside being faster in doing stuff, it support playing HD videos without any lag, and it has 500gb hdd and bluetooth too.

i do have some complain with my unit though. even though it has 4 gb of RAM, it still need a constant rebooting due to the sign of "low memory"

what is wrong with it?? does i have a faulty RAM? i mean my eee pc 1000h only has 2gb of ram and I managed to use it 1 week before it required a reboot, while my ul80vt needs a reboot in 3 to 6 hours time due to low ram problem...

i wanna reformat it, but this time without the asus "mambo jambo" any idea which web provide the necessary S/W like the power gear ?

my unit does not come with the drivers cd, i even need to do self burn dvd back up, i guess this is normal but what if i want certain s/w only in my laptop?

i noticed that there isn`t any thread which have asus ul80vt complete drivers link, could some one start on 1??

i would really to get them IF my internet connection is not so darn slow...

last but not least, happy new years to every one!!!

if you do the DVD backup it should have drivers pre-installed on that image. If you want only certain software- remove what you don't want.

well i did thought of that when i try reformatting it at 1st, but it seems i just need to insert the dvd`s and wait for it to be done. e.g, please insert disk 2, wait for few minutes, please insert disk 3 till it is all done...

no options such as which drivers i want to install or which i do not want to install.

thats why I said remove what you don't want..you know, after the OS is installed..the drivers can be downloaded at support.asus.com, look for your model under Notebook, if you do find a way to clean install your system

I would recommend running the integrated windows 7 ram test, doesn't take long...

Go to control panel, then administrative tools, and finally windows memory diagnostic... It will ask you to reboot and begin the test process.
