Eh, corsair's fine. Get a brand with lifetime warranty if possible.

No, you will not see a decrease in performance with 4 GB of RAM.

you can NEVER get a decrease in performance with additional ram!!! RAM makes your computer faster. PERIOD

tks for that, i'm asking because i have read some times ago that with 4gb the g1s will have a decrease on 3dmarks when comapred with 3gb! but that's ok!
besides that, with 4gb i can still get dual channel!
    tks for the fast help!

Well, I wouldn't be so definitive about this. Sometimes there are operating system or driver bugs that mean the computer WILL run slower with more RAM. For instance, I remember instances where increasing the RAM from 2 to 3GB on a Vista machine slowed it down.

These issues are however, hopefully, mostly fixed with patches and updates by now.

Regardless of this, I recommend you get 3GB instead of 4. Because the extra GB is wasted money, as the OS won't use it anyway. Dual channel benefits in notebooks are not enough to worry about, and also 2+1GB will run in asymmetrical dual channel for the lower 1+1GB.
