Could you elaborate on this error a little more? Where are you seeing those errors? Have you changed any of the hardware / software / drivers lately?
Did you just do the ram upgrade? -
i get this error when i shut down the laptop or when i first enter gunz online the game. it never shows when i'm just browsing on the laptop.

It would be very helpful if you could identify the application that gives the error. Maybe the system event log will help?
-
where woudl i find the sytem event log?

Try google first
I do not have Vista so cannot help you.

Keep in mind that games are resource-intensive and would use the RAM you added. Under normal conditions, you should not be fully utilizing the 2GB of RAM you have. On my system, I have 2 GB and I rarely go over 700MB (when ATI CCC and Firefox are hogging all the RAM).
If you say it happened after you upgraded the RAM, I'm going to have to point at your RAM as the culprit for your errors.
As far as memory brands go, I only trust Kingston and Crucial memory since they have both been in the business for a very long time and know the value of thoroughly testing their RAM before it leaves the factory.
I would suggest going to www.memtest.org and running the memtest on your system for a few hours to see if it actually works properly.
To get to the Event Viewer, you can either:
1) Go to Start: Run. Type eventvwr. Or,
2) Start: Control Panels (under classic view): Administrative Tools: Event Viewer. -
Yes, running memtest is a good idea. But personally, I think it's a buggy application that tries to access a zone of program memory that has been marked as R/O.
