In my manual, there is 3 options to choose from. Basically want to get computer back to factory settings.. I am not sure which one of these options, I need to choose.

    1. recover windows to first partition only
    2. recover windows to entire HD
    3. Recover Windows to entire HD with 2 partitions

Which one do i choose.. Thanks

Well in my case, my laptop came with two partitions (C and D). C had Windows and D was just storage. Option 1 leaves D alone but restores C to factory settings. I have never tried options 2 and 3 but I'd imagine option 2 would merge C and D into one partition with factory settings, and option 3 would keep two partitions but also get rid of everything on D.

So if you want to erase EVERYTHING and have two partitions choose 3.

Yea i went to my computer and I see C (which is says OS) and then D (which says data. So if I chose the first option, that will just basically bring my computer back to how it was when I first bought it. And by the way what is the D one for (the one that says data), Is that basically if I didn't want something saved on my C drive, i would just direct it to the D drive. As of right now, nothing saved on the D drive

Yeah D is just extra storage. It is useful if something happens to Windows requiring a recovery and you don't want to lose your own files. If D is empty than 1 and 3 should do the same thing I would think, but yeah selecting 1 would be fine.
