The hinges popped out of the moniter screen on my asus z70va. The repair dudes said I needed a replacement back cover. I've emailed geared2play and asus but they've decided to ignore my attempts to contact them. Is there any other place I could get the replacement parts at a reasonable price?

There's the ASUS E-store(Google it), but the M6 aka Z70 series has been out of production for at least half a year, so I don't know if such a part still exists.

We do this replacement quite a bot on systems that have been worn pretty hard. The covers are about $45 and you're looking to triple that between labor and shipping if the system were to come in.... just to give you an idea where you'd stand doing it yourself or sending it out.

... I get that lot too E... Well, we all do here.. and I'm sure that's no different than anyone else that recieves a boat load of emails everyday... I a light day I personally have at least 100 good emails to reply to, I'm not sure what sales gets now... but I know we block a TON of mail and anyone who uses a subject that's totally off base and would seem like spam, is going to get picked up. Now, with those 100 good emails, I have to get 300 spam mails, and of those 300 or so, maybe 1 is good..

Now, what kills me is that if someone doesn't get a response from a person they know gets back to emails quickly, or a company that you'd at least assume would... you'd think they'd pick up the phone in a couple days and call to check up.... You wouldn't believe that amount of people who claim months and months down the road that they told us about a problem while it was still under warranty and we never got back to them.... they just took 4-5 months to wait for a reply?!?!?!?

    Don't sweat it.

So if I need the part for the Asus z70va that corresponds to the covering backing the lcd screen that would be the VA top case on the following webpage right? Does anyone know if the hinge covers come with it?

    thanks
