    running slow after reformat

    hey i have the asus g50v, once i put on the recovery disk and succesfully whiped everything adn satrted fresh i notice that it is running slower, as in starting up the computer and turning it off. Also running apps. I put it the driver cd and it downloaded all of the drivers.

    please help!

    Defragment maybe?

    Also when Vista is brand new install, its indexing files and things so that may be making it run slightly slower.

    Just make sure you have all the drivers installed and they are all right there on the disk.

    how do i display the list of drivers in vista? Like how do i check if i have all the drivers.

    Insert your G50V Drivers CD. On the window that pops up (if auto run enabled) or by double clicking on the CD Drive, look for the button in the bottom that says "Advanced" I think.

    Clicking on this will scan your system for what you have and gray out what's already on it.

    This is useful since not all drivers and items installed from the CD will appear in Programs & Features.
