  hey fellas, recently my awesome semi recently bought s6f is acting up. i had a feeling my main six cell battery was getting weaker. so i gave the bios battery calibration a shot. what a bad idea! i used to get three hours and a half and now i'm barely pushing two and a half. i wrote asus and email, but is this abnormal wear inevitable? perhaps i just got a dud? please advise. i saw many posts for wear with other models but it seems no other s6f users are experiencing this? thanks for listening

I'm not sure I ever saw posts about S6Fs with the battery wear issue. It's not difficult to check, it suffices to discharge the battery a few times until the computer hibernates/shuts down, then recharge and verify the wear level. If it increases significantly (say more than 1% per discharge) then it's likely that you have the wear problem.

Here's a thread with more info on the issue and also some proposed solutions: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=106773

Notebook Hardware Control can tell you what you battery wear level is. What did Asus have to say?

By the way, I am so jealous of your S6f.
