    Hello there!

I recently bought this fine barebone and I really enjoy Oblivion and CS:Source on it.

However, I just can't get come functions to work and I'd like some help/advise/flaming for not finding it in this forum...

1- What is the little running dude button for? (the one on the left of the automatic browser button).
2- I installed my wifi card. When my card broadcasts, the active wifi led (at the lower right, beside the battery and email led) does never light up. Also, the Function F2 key for shutting down or up my wifi card does not work.

My computer guru told me this problem might be resolved by reinstalling the keyboard drivers.

    What do you guys think?

(and if indeed it is the keyboard driver, can you give me the URL in your answer so I can go get it? It's pretty hard to find drivers for a s96j on the Asus site as far as I saw...)

    Thanks a lot guys! :)

It's for Power4Gear, which switches battery settings and the processor clock with a single touch of a button.

When you use a card thats not the Intel, it does not work, the LED and the F2 - I know this as I did the same with my WiFi Card - Atheros! - on my V6va and neither works as well.

They don't work even if you do have the Intel card. I think Asus just never bothered to program them in.

Oh, not sure about that then, it works fine with the Intel card, but not with my Atheros.

Odd... it's supposed to work with intel cards. This may be a problem that's exclusive to the S96/Z96 then..
Be sure that you have the ATK0100 ACPI drivers and the Intel wifi drivers (from the Asus website) installed.

Yeah, I got the drivers in, everything works great including the wifi. It's just the mail/wifi LED's and their associated Fn+ key combos that don't work.

Ah yeah I forgot, thanks for reminding me. I actually uninstalled that before I ever started using wifi, the Windows default wireless manager worked just fine so I didn't see a reason to have two identical programs.
