    i have a problem with the microphone in my s96j. the mic works but it records really silent . for example i cant configure the mic in msn messenger to come in the right volume . it ollways records to silent .

    i have the mic all the way up in the windows and in the high definition sound control panel . can some body please help me

    i also have the latest uaa drivers from intel .

    Get an external headset/mic.

    Onboard mics always suck.

    A "Test hardware" locate under the Voice recording and Sounds and Audio Devices Properties if you go to Control Panel. Just try to go through all the step during the testing, it would show you how bad of it. If you finished this, the problem still there, you must use an external headset and mic.
