i'm not sure if somethings wrong with my temps but according to another thread on the forums, 59-60 C is a normal temp for a mobile gpu at idle. At idle I get temps of 66-69 C. Under load during gaming after like maybe 10 mins, it moves up around 84-86 C and almost always caps off at 90 C (never goes passed). It this just because of the design of the notebook?

Are you overclocking your video card at all? I get about 60 C and 80 C on load overclocked or not. I have the same video card. However, when I check the threshold temp, it is a whopping 127 C! So I think your card is fairly hot, but not in danger at all. My friend's f3sv idles @ 77, and goes up to 94 on load, but he said it runs fine. I could be mistaken though. It's probably best to call the manufacturer and ask them if that is a safe temperature.

yeah i think i'll do that. I want to know what other asus s96s owner are getting on their temps. Let me just say that it's usually always 84-87 C during gaming, but after playing on and off a lot yesterday and running tests left it at a max of 90 C, but never surpassed that.

mine says that it can get to to like 2 hrs and 15 mins. Use the use Power4 Gear and play around with it, you should get something longer. I haven't been using the battery much because I don't really need it that much right now. That should make it last longer.

I have Z96S, basically the same as S96S with some minor differences. With a 9 cell battery and P4G Battery Saving mode, screen brightness all the way down and wireless and bluetooth turned off, I get about 3,5-4 h running on battery.
