Hello everyone! I want to rejuvenate an old Asus L8400B, can you help me choose the proper equipment?

First of all I need an minipci ethernet card. The problem is that internally it has some kind of "riser" slot I've never seen anywhere. More info at the following link, you can see that the minipci slot -the white slot at the bottom of the 3rd picture- is kind of unique:

Secondly I need to buy and extra SO-DIMM SDRAM. It has 64MB onboard and an extra slot with an another 64MB, that hopefully I will replace with 256MB. My searches show that I need to buy low-density DIMMs PC100 and all will be ok.

So can anyone with similar equipment help me? Thanks in advance!

well that's not a standard mini pci slot. So you would need to source an old card from another machine to get one that fits.

As for sodimms look to ebay.

I added internal wireless to an old laptop by removing its 56k mini pci card and routing an internal aerial.
