12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I have been mainly looking at ASUS based on my research and pretty sold of them ( also the included 2 year plus 1 year accidental damage warranty)
I have been looking at various models of K52 series, N61JV , K72 series. Their are some many variations of those its very confusing plus each supplier has a different setup. I am thinking an I3 processor with a better video card would be better than an i5 with a lesser video card
open to Acer and Toshiba not sure on quality or whats going to last me
HP/Dell torn between is it going to last or not and tehn having to deal with tech support (was looking at a Hp DV6 or 7 series but not sure?)
13_What country do you live in?
United State
14_Please tell us any additional information if needed.
Semi gaming laptop. Mostly for older games and MMO's would like to be able to play newer games but understand some FPS may not play or in low setting ( not a biggie). The laptop will mostly be at home downstairs and connect thru wireless. I will be stand alone ( no pluggin into a TV or anything for a better screen) will have access to a outlet of course. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I guess now I need to decide whether 15 or a 17"

thank you for the info.
any thoughts on a brand / model? -
Newegg.com - 335m
I cheated but it's what I'd suggest. -
G73 , future proofing a bit, only 1500 ish if you have the cash to do it. Gets about 2 hours worth on "web surfing". also the 8 gigs of ram and 5870m coupled with the I7 will go far for you. Just a thought.

ASUS G73JH-RBBX05 17.3 Laptop i7 1.6GHz 6GB 500GB DVDRW - Cowboom Store
Refurbished G73JH-RBBX05's available for $899 -
I am not sure on refurb. Been looking at a few but not sure if its worth it in the long run
-
I would steer away from the refrub since they only come with a 90 day warranty.
-
You can always add a protection plan.
-
are those 3rd party warranty companies any good or are they like car extended warranties. I am a car guy and they are a nightmare to get anythign covered
-
anyone have any experience dealing with New Egg or Tiger Direct extended waranties?
-
-
The HP envy 14” might be what you're looking for. Though I cannot vouch for their aftersales support.
-
what about this
Amazon.com: Asus G60JX-RBBX05 Intel i5-430M, 4 GB, 500 GB, NVIDIA GTS360M
its a refurb with a 30 day warranty but I can get square trade warranty fairly inexpensive from amazon so would be around 900.
or should i save another hundred or so and go for this
