    I have a asus m51vr and dont really play games and use aero. Is there a way to disable that shared system memory when i see adapter settings in video settings? Thanks

    PS: its eating 766mb. Thanks

    AFAIK there is no way to disable the hyper-memory...

    I dont think it really is eating your memory, its not really being used and wont be used even if you game normally, its just too slow

    Correct, you cannot; it's part of the VBIOS, I believe.

    Sometimes there's an option in the BIOS setup. If it's not there then you probably can't configure it unless there is something in the ATi control panel.
