This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     spyware protection for g1s

    can anyone recommend spyware protection for a g1s? I'm looking for something that preferably is light on system resources

    I always load my systems with:

    Spybot S&D
    Spywareblaster
    Adaware

    All are free and great working in conjunction with one another. Obviously don't forget your virus and firewall protection :)

    Ahh yes I too use Firefox (never will use IE again).

    I also use Nod32 for virus and Zonelabs (for Vista) for firewall.

    How would I go about viewing the performance of my computer such as the CPU? Is it in the control panel somewhere?

    I don't have my laptop on me (so going off of memory) but it's in the Control Panel. There's a section to see System performance. In there there is a link to see your scores and a link to re-run the performance test.
