so I open a new program and start typing right? Windows Vista apparently thinks I have the windows key held down (when I don't) and thus if I push a letter like R, it would open the run dialog and so on.

I don't get it. It happens randomly and I'm not sure why. It's annoying when I have a game or am opening a new browser only to have it minimized because the volume control was opened or something.

I fix this by actually pushing the windows key, but that's just more of a hassle. Is there a fix? Is this a G1S issue?

Weird. I don't think it's common for the G1s model line as a whole - I've never heard of it before. Have you tried restoring using the recovery partitions/discs? It sounds more like a software than a hardware issue...
