The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    does Asus,or any of it's resellers offer student discounts?

    don't think so... only Apple. I might be wrong, but I've been in the market for a new laptop for college, and I haven't seen any ASUS student discounts anywhere... unfortunately :(

    Nope, though some dealers do. ASUS doesn't sell notebooks themselves.

    It is already the cheapest performance laptop out there (maybe tied with the IFL90), how much more discounted do you need?

    I know that PROPortable gave a $50 discount to students, and some free stuff to forum members. Not sure if they still do, but they did for the longest time. RK Computers also offers a student discount, not sure how much it is though. You probably could ask the other resellers if they can give you a student discount.
