    the one with windows xp i wonder if it comes with a xp disc-theres is no cd drive in it?so how would i do reinstall?

    the cheapest is 200 for a 4 gig drive?they will drop to 200?

    anyone know?

    the 160 seems better

    I do not know how the reinstallation works with the SSD-based EEEs. On the HDD ones, I presume there is a recovery partition.

    Which of the EEEs do you mean by the way (model #)? I know there are several with SSD memory (I am sorry, I do not know them well enough to differentiate only on the basis of the fact that it has 4G of SSD).

    i just have seen the tiny asus and wonder if i should wait for it to come down in price or look for the xp one

    or i need to figure out to do a duel boot with linux and xp or vista i suppose
    im on dial up but i can get free wireless in places

    linux with dial up always seemed impossible

    Was it the 7-inch model? Be aware that those ones are outdated nowadays. But if your budget is 200 then there may not be other options...

    i guess it was 7 inch

    so where is there a list of the outdated models and the drawbacks to the outdated and the advice on how to update them as they will all be outdated one day?

    My 901 came with a disc that has the drivers and ghost images of the C and D drives, for re-installing to factory defualt. On EEEuser, there is a guide to using the disk to Nlite, I tried it and it works great.
