i downloaded the audio driver from asus, after run the installation, the setup prompt me to uninstall current driver... everything went smooth until i complete the setup program. a box message, something like "consent UI...has stopped workig"... suddenly, my explorer is forced to shut down, and restarting the computer won't solve the problem....

okay finally i got my c90s ghost back to previous backup, and i just ran the same program again to see if the problem was caused by it...Bingo! i was right!!!

Okay, lastly, WTF is asus's problem to have such deadly thing on their website?? i lost alots of my downloads after the backup....damn F asus!!!

get it from the realtec page its more up to date, nobody else has had the problem you have so chances are you got the wrong file or something. Also no need to ghost to a previous backup just uninstall the file, sometimes going out of the way like that just causes more problems.

Try booting in safe mode (F8 during Windows screen) and restoring your computer to an earlier point (Vista: Control panel>Backup and Restore Center). Or just remove the audio driver while you're in safe mode, and and install a better version.
