Hi this is my first post. I live in Costa Rica, I want a new notebook, and I will be going to U.S.A next year in january. I will be staying in a hotel in Mississippi for 3 weeks. I want to know if you ship to hotels? and if 2-3 weeks is enough time for my order to arrive?. If not, does a store like Best Buy or Circuit City or something sell asus notebooks (not online)?

Thank you for the info. And by january will the notebooks ship with Vista? Say yes please!!!!!!!!!!! LOL :D

I would think the Credit Card would need to match the shipping address for security purposes.

And Large stores don't carry ASUS laptops, check the FAQ for a dealer list in Mississippi and email/check if they have any physical stores.

Shipping to a hotel sounds really risky to me. I know that I wouldn't want my $1500+ notebook going somwhere unless I knew it was safe.

i will be staying at the hotel, so that "somewhere" my notebook will be going will be safe since I will be there, hahaha :) . Coriolis, What you are saying is that the CC has to have the same address as the hotel? I guess that is a big NO...right???? That is very dissapointing, my day has gotten a little worse than it was... sigh :( :(

Well, the addy on the CC should match the addy the item is being sent to, because for security reasons, especially for such a high priced item.

Im buying an asus notebook right now in almost the same situation.

What you will have to do i buy a money order or cashier check, and have it delivered either ups pick up or general delivery.

You actually want a dealer outside of mississipi so you dont have to pay sales tax

no purchase a money order from a post office. mail it to them

have them mail it to you via ups pick up, meaning ups will hold the package for you.

You can have it mailed to your hotel if you prepay though as well absolutely.

Im sort of skipping a step.

You would have to prepay and you could have it shipped to several places to pick it up

We ship to hotels a lot, especially for international customers visiting the US, or even US customers visiting other states or countries (and for some reason needing a computer while there)...... if you pay via money order or bank transfer - it's not a problem....... try to pay via credit card and there's a lot of problems..... There's too much risk involved to attempt that outside the US. In the US, a US customer can get that address listed as an authorized shipping address, but outside the states it's another story.

So, if you are willing to pay via bank wire transfer, I know that we could help if you need it.
