    Hello everyone,

I am interested in buying an Asus 1201N, given all that I read about its better graphics compared to other "light and small" options. Just one brief question for those who own one:

The 1201N has both a HDMI as well as a VGA port. Is it possible to display onto *two* different external monitors, each one connected to one of these ports? (In thinkpads one can do this by switching off the internal LCD.)

    Would this work?

    Many thanks!

    Hi Lara,

I can't speak about using both video-out ports simultaneously, but if that is not possible, you may want to try the Matrox DualHead2Go. It's not a perfect solution, but has enabled me to use 2 external displays with only minimal compromise. It is a hardware device that plugs in between your video port and your 2 monitors, and uses software to simulate having a single continuous work area spread across both screens. You can control which screen new windows should open in, and make windows "snap" to the boundaries of either screen. I have enjoyed mine for about 2 years now.
