1. How come a1 is gone and b1 is sold out on newegg? does anybody think they're prepping for something new?
2. How come an upgrade of harddrive on gentech is a harddrive i can not find neither on newegg or amazon? is seagate even good? i hear hitachi is better or this barracuda thing. if anybody can help, it'd b great

1) I noticed this too. I think newegg is just sold out.
2) Gentech is a reseller of Asus and will customize your unit. Newegg will NOT do such a thing, and neither will amazon. You need to do your own customizations. -

If you are asking why you can't find the 160GB 7200.2 Momentus drive, it is because it is very new and few places have ordered them yet. Gentech happens to be one of the ones who have. Seagate is the company that bought out Maxtor, who you may recognise, their Momentus line of HDDs has been leading lately in most speed comparison tests.

Speaking of the F3SV-B1, how come nobody has reviewed them yet? Surely some people MUST have them. I'd really like to know how people like them, and what sort of battery life they get. Newegg was out of stock of them, so I know people must be buying them. The G1S is getting all of the attention, but I'd just like to hear what people have to say about the F3SV-B1.
