Hello, i just got my u36sd and i have a few questions,
first of, everything works fine, but when i try to run the express gate cloud os (the power button on the left) it does nothing, so i wanned to ask if the express cloud gate is supposed to be installed, or should i install it myself? if so where can i get it?
Second, the laptop came with a driver cd, but since there is no dvd-rom i cant check the contents, so is everything i need (drivers and important utilities) already installed or should i get an external rom and check the contents of the cd?
    Thank you.

Not sure about the Express Gate Cloud. As for the driver CD, I would not use those as they are usually outdated. You can get every driver on the ASUS website.

Express Gate Cloud is mostly useless.
    An outdated browser.
A handful of simple games (plus links to web flash games)
    A calendar.
    More links to web content.
Even more links to web content
Useless link to Trend Micro security.
    Photo viewer.
Oh, and a 4:3 resolution stretched to fit whatever your screen ratio actually is and no way to change it, meaning on any websites you visit all the pictures and videos will look fat on a wide screen display.

And, as far as I can find so far, there is no way to actually update the thing.

Oh, and one more thing: You can't save anything from the browser to your hard drive. You can only save to a RAM disk named media that disappears as soon as you exit Express Gate Cloud.. either shut down or move on to Windows.

Great idea, but needs a MAJOR rethink before it can be viable.

especially useless for people like me, who installed an ssd and get sub 20 sec cold boot times. I can cold boot into windows in about 15sec with my corsair f120
