    Hey guys!

i've got some problems when trying to boot my asus g1 (g1ap021c, running on vista).
instead of the asus logo i get a screen full of colorful vertical stripes. from time to time the stripes change color, i guess thats when the windows-bootscreen should show up.

first i thougt this might be a display problem, so i connected the g1 to my flatscreen.
on the flat i can see the windows bootscreen with just a few green stripes.
but when windows has finished loading and should show the login-screen my flatcreen suddenly turns black.

so i thought i might have a software problem too.
next i tried to run save mode which kind of worked. my notebook display is still full of vertical stripes, but my flatscreen shows vista in save mode.

first i ran chkdsk, but no errors where reported. then i tried to flash my bios to the latest version, but thats apperently not possible in save mode.
i also loaded a windows restore-point and ran the asus recovery-tool, but nothing changed.

i also tried to boot from my vista-dvd, but somehow i didn't manage to change the boot order :-/

so i guess i've got a hardware-problem, maybe video card and display?
that would suck because warrenty ended two months ago -.-

i would be grateful for any suggestions on how to solve my problems :D

It seems like your GPU just went out or is basically going to die any second now.....I guess you can call Asus up and see whether they'll do anything for you
