Hey Ive been using my v6v for quite some time without any problems until i attempted to underclock the graphics card in CHC, trying to squeeze out as much battery time as possible. I set my card to like 285mhz (400 is original) and everything was working fine until I clocked it back to its original speed.
When I did this, the screen got all garbly and weird, and when i restarted everything seemed fine.
Lately, I have been having problems with some services crashing, something along the lines of "Generic Win32 service has been shut down" type of stuff, and I got one BSOD today when i was doing a lot of stuff on it.
It seems to be software anomalies but could I have killed my box?
What things should I do to attempt to find the cause of the problem?

EDIT: Also, I have been having a bit of trouble resuming from hibernation and standby. Sometimes it would take a long time where the screen is completely black when resuming from hibernation, and sometimes standby doesnt work too well at all.

I have the 801 BIOS by the way.

Should I just try to do a system restore to about a week ago (because I have installed some stuff) and then restore BIOS to defaults?

That's a tough one...hmm. I'd suggest doing the BIOS defaults first, or updating your BIOS (if you don't mind). Underclocking the GPU in CHC shouldn't affect anything... especially when you put it back on normal speeds (because it's MEANT to run that way). However, there may be some overheating...which is why you're getting those errors.

What kind of temperatures do you see?
