    The driver is not in the driver disk and what's more interesting is that I have no clue what it possibly can be.

    Who know what it is?

    I don't know but maybe you can work it out by elimination (i.e. check what devices ARE properly installed, and the one that is not is the culprit).

    On the other hand, other people on this forum will probably know so you can just wait. :)

    Probably the ATK ACPI device. Try installing the ATK drivers from the download page on Asus' website.

    Thanks Dx3 & Ra990, I am going to try your suggestion and post the result tomorrow. Hope it can be of some use for the ppl who encounts the same issue as I do

    I actually had this a bunch after my wipe and clean install of vista on my new HDD... The odd thing is, the only thing I did to remedy it was instead of telling it to search all of the DVD, i told it to look in specific directories on the DVD (or CD...whatever it actually is :p). Sure enough, that worked.

    Chipset driver. Go to intel site and download it. Iguess yours is chipset 960
