And another question before i will finally buy the Asus G50VT-A1 :D

I will buy it from the US but i´m from austria, so i want to change the keyboard. Now i need to know some things:

First of all the whole keyboard is looking different:
The Enter key (in the middle) is smaller than normal:
    Normaly u got:
    right to "P" 2 more keys ( Ü and +/*/~ )
    right to "L" 3 more keys ( Ö and Ä and '/# )

But on the us keyboard u got
right to "P" 3 more keys
right to "L" 2 more keys

So i wonder if the German layout is working there? And easily to replace ?
OR can´t i just swap the US keyboard with an German one?
Or does the german keyboard layout also looks different on the notebook than it normally does ?
I sadly couldn´t find a screen with the german layout on the g50 to see if there are also only 3 keys right to "P" and 2 right to "L".. if yes i think its no problem. But normally it isn´t like that.

    besides that:
Can i use the same german keyboard for the G50VT as for the G50V ?

    Thanks ! :)

    @edit:

    Just found a german keyboard
so here u can compare yourself:

It's just a wild guess, but I think that it should work and the part number is something like 04GNED1KGR00 but I cannot find it for sale... it should definitely be the same size

i rly wonder how this can work :p
the us keyboard got a much smaller enter key but a 3rd key next to "P"
while the german keyboard is "totally" different at this part around the enter key

hope someone can 100% tell me if its working or not.. would suck if i buy that notebook + keyboard for 1500€ and then i can throw the german ekyboard into the trash and need to live with an US keyboard ! :( :p

Yes, you can change the keyboard without any issues. It's a relatively painless procedure. Just remember to change your keyboard language layout in windows.

I can't find the german one, but I did find the french and japanese versions for sale on a site in the Netherlands... they are the same size, I don't know why they wouldn't swap out...

Make sure you get your German keyboard from Asus or a store that sells a German keyboard made specifically for the G50 and not a generic one. ;)

I'm pretty sure the part # is 04GNED1KGR00 because they all follow the same naming convention and that is the part # for the us/fr/jp versions (gr for German)
