Whenever I fn + f5 or fn + f6, the brightness control freezes. I've tried installing and reinstalling ATK hotkey but nothing fixes the problem. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there any work around?

Nevermind. I fixed the problem. I installed the latest intel chipset driver and updated my BIOS to 216. One of those somehow fixed the problem. If anyone has the same problem try doing those!

Nicely done. Sometimes re-installing the monitor driver fixes this discrepancy as well.
