Is anyone having trouble with their bluetooth?
Mine was working fine, but out of no where has decided not to see new devices. I don't get any error messages, and everything looks to be working just fine.
When I click on "Add a Device", my computer doesn't find any other devices. I've tried my mouse, phone and headset.. nothing.
Oddly enough I can see my computer on my phone. So it is like it just doesn't want to see new devices.
I've gone through the stock driver, the driver off of the asus support page, and the intel driver. All the same result.
If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great..
oh, and I did turn off the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" feature.
ok.. after having searched every where and tried many things, I found this post to work
Bluetooth notebook mouse 5000 cannot be used in Windows 7. - Microsoft Community
hopefully this keeps working.
I posted the answer just cause I always think of this : xkcd: Wisdom of the Ancients

my bluetooth seems fine but i have another issue with using dell BT travel mice
i got 2 different dell BT travel mice paired up. the issue im having is that if the mice is just sitting there for too long (idle) and once you try wake the mouse by moving it around, the mouse pointer lags alot and not very responsive. i have to turn off the mouse and back on and then works normally again. this doesnt happen with other BT laptops i had before
after getting a bit pissed at constantly turning off and on my mice, i got myself 2 logitech mice and a usb unifying receiver instead. but that said, i still prefer bluetooth mice and hope that there is a way to get around the BT mice wake issue -
I just had a really really bad day and this bluetooth issue was making it worse (I couldn't get my brand new Razer Orochi 2013 to pair under Windows!)
I did the suggested fix and voila it was fixed.
Thank you very very much for sharing it. -

The save power trick tends to cause this issue.
By the way I have the old orochi, love it very much, looking at some videos to see what the 2013 version offers. -
I had issues at first. I currently am fine. I decided it was hardware after trying driver and software attempts. I opened up, I wiggeled no results. Some how with no understanding I started to get it to work. I have no idea what I did.
I can only assume some of the resets I did worked. I am no expert but I can work around most things. I had a blue tooth connection problem on my phone and LG headphones tonight. Saw it all saw paired but tryed to connect forever and didn't. Shut both off an started over. Not on the first but after maybe two all worked fine.
So twice I had issues and resolved for no reason I can understand. It is free so shut down and start, it costs little. Once I get working they seem to keep working.
I just want to say try uninstalling, reinstall if you have nothing to lose.
I know my comments make no sense but I was like 5 hours away from sending back. I think I got like a 1026? error, sorta said hardware could not be started? It works know.
Good luck.
