I have been waiting for newegg to get it back in stock (I have to pay tax on amazon) the link below is what I see now... usually newegg has an option where they let you "auto notify" should the product come back in stock...
any thoughts? maybe a new rev? or just reading too much into it?

The Asus UX32VD was released to the public WITH DEFECTIVE units. Backlight bleed that increases over time, a usb 3.0 port that does not work 50% of the time, wifi disconnects, and horrible Video Tearing are just some of the reasons so many UX32VD's were RMA'd and returned. The Asus UX32VD I purchased had ALL PORTS misaligned and touching the silver chassis of the notebook which made connecting devices "scrape festivals." NewEgg has no future plans to restock the UX32VD because of the problems it had with them. -
Dejacky, the UX32VD has definitely had well-documented issues, but how do you know that's the reason NewEgg isn't offering the laptop? Do you have evidence of this or are you just making baseless assumptions here?

...Actually I saw that link on Newegg and they had it briefly listed as an "Open Box" item with a selling price of $899.
but apparently removed the price now...
I'm packing mine up as we speak and have an RMA from my seller...will be sending it back on Monday.
I really see a lot of potential for this machine and hopefully the replacement...when they get one...will be OK.
I have really bad fan noise issues. It sounds like a hair dryer all the time...
The bloatware on it is ridiculous starting with the Asus Live Update and ending with McAfee. Why do they put all this crap on a beautiful machine?
If you are not relatively tech savvy, this is not the machine for you. But if you are, it can be turned into an incredible piece of hardware.
ux32vd no longer on newegg...
