Hello,
I bought the two 128gb ssd raid 0 version, with windows 8.0, now upgraded to 8.1
with the following partitions:
300mb
900mb
91gb C:
350mb
116gb D:
20gb recovery
I'd like to now if is possible to:
1) delete the recovery partition and reclaim those 20gb, but before that copying it on a flash drive.
I read I can do that with "drive recovery" in w8, but I'd like to know id someone has done that and has been able later to boot from that key and use that as recovery partition. That's how is supposed to work right?
Doesn't asus provide any other solution to backup your recovery partition?
2) from disk mamangement I reduced D: from 116 to 100, leaving 16gb of unallocated space, how can I use that space to expand C:? can I do taht with disk management or do I have to use a third party tool? with W7 I used Paragon free
3) not now, but in the future I'd like to change the 2 128gb with 2 256gb. Is it possible? has anyone tried it? which model did you use?
And not related to the disk... how can I get rid of InstantOn window when the computer starts? I just want the service to run, not the window to be displayed every startup.
Thanks
Mattia

just to check on one of those questions, in your list of how you partitioned your drives it seemed a little unclear. I'm assuming C: is your first 128GB SSD and D: is the second one. I just didn't quite understand because you list a couple partitions first then drives below it.
ux32vd with 256ssd, reclaim recovery partition space
