    if you have the 501JW, please test triple monitor with hdmi and minidisplayport simultaneously.

    Does triple display work stably?

    come on, no one has 2 external monitors laying around?

    Forget it.

    I purchased an ASUS UX501JW DS71T last year to use with eight external monitors.

    Only discovered after receiving it that it will not bypass the good-for-nothing Intel HD 4600 display adapter.

    (Hence will only support TWO (2) external monitors as a result... PoS!!!)

    Even with two monitors attached, the nightmare just doesn't end! (I used a desktop system to drive the six other monitors).

    The UX501JW will:

    - not successfully run both external monitors unless you downgrade the shoddy Intel HD adapter to (the device manager reported) 20.19.15.4549 which, in itself, is aggravating as h*ll since Intel offers the drivers under an apparently different numbering ID scheme (lowlife, very lowlife);

    - scramble the location of _any_and_all_ onscreen shortcut icons to one or more external monitors on an apparently random, recurring basis;

    - will absolutely not SLEEP *nor* HIBERNATE properly, leading to utterly cold restarts every time one thinks you're going to be restarting your session.

    Don't bother. I gave up a long time ago on this and turned it into a simplistic game machine (based on it's GTX 960M capabilities).

    What an incredible disappointment.
