    v6j screen freeze

    Hi all,

    Any of the v6j owners ever notice that their screen "freezes" for a split second before returning to normal every once in a while? I don't think it's from the couple of apps I've installed (AdAware, Google desktop, Acrobat) on the original WinXP install the laptop came with. Thx.

    When does it freeze. Just on normal use? is it just an app freezing? reinstall the video drivers.

    It freezes just on normal use. I haven't had any apps hang yet.

    No black bars.

    The freeze is just for a millisecond and then the screen reverts back to normal. I've had 4-5 laptops (Vaio, Thinkpad, Dell) and have never observed anything like this before. Nonetheless, I'll check to see if I have the latest video drivers! :)

    Definitely the driver. The V6J came with buggy nvidia driver v.83.00

    I have it go black for just a second while I am switching screens around, but every computer I have ever used has done that.
