See i dissagree on the outside part. I think the glossys are better because the screen doesnt fade as much as a matte in the light. again most people do have a perference. Its hard to come into a forum and be like which is better. The user really has to use both and decide. Even the whole pc or mac thing which does the user have the most experience with? and for the screen fine maybe matte would be better for some. But since the sceen is IPS maybe its better they just get that because its an overall better high quality panel. again comparing against the mac not the flexview.

Haha, but your name is even easier to make fun of, taking into account the reference! He is, after all, ASSyrian.

I cant wait to see the Flexview in action as im supposed to recieve my R51 15" Flexview tomorrow! Oh the joy of waiting! Anyway, getting back on topic i think the original poster has plenty of choices to work with but like i said before, he really cant go wrong with either of the two i.e Apple or the Asus and if he wants to save some money and still get great quality then the older thinkpads (maybe with a flexview!).

IM sure you will be happy with your new thinkpad. Ibm was always one of my favorite brand bussiness laptops.

    I am from assyria... ;)

but i guess it really should be yossarian, too bad it was taken for some reason... Pfft, I'm done w/ this childish game anyway, I just took offence in a so-called "reseller" ripping on someone who asked a simple question.

My Dell is a glossy screen, I dunno, I REALLY dislike it in bright environments, especially outside -- because the glare is simply unbearable. Maybe the 17" size has something to do with it, maybe a smaller 14" would be less troublesome. Personally, I prefer the non-glare type.

It's really distracting when you are trying to work, but instead you see your ugly mug reflected back at you... or maybe your beautiful complexion... depending on how narcissistic you are I guess.

    cheers,

    yass
